DAY TRIP TO SANTORINI
Santorini is an island in the southern Aegean Sea , about 200km southeast from the Greek mainland. The island was the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption which occurred about 3,600 years ago at the height of the Minoan Civilization. The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of meters deep. It is the most active volcanic centre in the South Aegean Volcanic Arc, though what remains today is chiefly a water-filled caldera.

About the tour
First stop. Arrival at Santorini’s port and we need approximately 20min to Fira, the capital of the Greek island. If you have seen photos of Santorini in the past, with its whitewashed rectangular building overlooking the contrasting, rich blue hues of the Mediterranean, then, this is where you can find that same enchanting scenery. Fira is a combination of natural beauty, social and night life and shopping also. There you can feel the liveliness of the island and where all the actions takes place. What makes it so ravishing is the Calder view that leaves visitors speechless anytime of the day. A walk to the scenic alleys during the daytime will fill you with harmony. There is a wealth of restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs where you can relax and enjoy the tremendous view. It actually owns the largest shopping center.
Second stop. We need 30min to Oia village to experience the rich cultural heritage and admire the beauty of the town. Is the most photographed spot in Santorini, so will also probably the most crowded.
Last stop. We need approximately 45-60min to the port of Santorini for the way back to Crete.

Why Choose Safe Rides Transfer
Such a great experience! Easy booking, and they are great at answering questions! Our driver was at the pick-up lokation 10 minuts early, and had water for us all day. The driver was kind and explained the cities we drove through, but also let us talk without him so we felt we had a lot of privacy. We drove from Chania to Knossos Palace and to Heraklion in the morning, and at 20.00 we drove back to Chania. Same driver, same comfortable Mercedes, and same good service. We can really recommend this company to everyone!

Absolut verlässlich, pünktlich (sogar früher als vereinbart!), elegantes Auto. Erleichternd, dass es diese Möglichkeit gibt für Uhrzeiten, an denen kein Bus fährt.
Super pünktlich, super freundlich und als unser Fahrer ankam, wurde extra nochmal das Auto sauber gemacht, welches wirklich schon vorher sehr sauber war. Auch wurde uns geholfen beim Gepäck verladen bzw. hat es unser Fahrer selbst gemacht, sodass wir unsere Kindersitze samt Kinder ordentlich im Auto festmachen konnten. Jederzeit wieder.

Very impressed with the service. Christos the driver was 5 minutes before time. Pleasant drive. I forgot my computer bag in the back seat. Christos noticed the bag on the seat and turned back to deliver it back at the hotel. Cannot thank Christos enough.
