Elafonisi is an island located to the southern
corner of Crete and it’s a protected nature
reserve. It’s known for its pink sand beaches,
created by tidal and wave-induced
deposits of pigmented
microorganisms living in a sumbiotic
relationship with native seaweed.
Stavros is a village and beach in the Acrotiri
district of the city of Chania. The beach
was the location where in 1964 Michael Cacoyannis
filmed the famous beach dancing
scene in the movie Zorba the Greek with
Anthony Quinn.

About the tour
-First stop at the Venetian Fortezza and Rethymno
city for walk and sightseeing.
-Second stop Kourna lake, the only freshwater lake in
Crete. This specific lake is also endowed with
alluring white sandy shores, an impressive feature
for the small number of summertime visitors.
-Last stop at Chania city, you can walk around, the
old town, enjoy traditional food, coffee or swim if you
want at any beautiful beach.

What a fantastic service! We used Safe rides transfers for multiple trips during our stay in Greece. The drivers are friendly, prompt, easy to contact and have alot of knowledge about the local area. Prices are reasonable (able to pay by cash and card too!) and the vehicles are clean and comfortable. Would 100% recommend using this company if travelling in the area.
